Noob question: Ldap server and pam working together allows you to logon from a number machines connected to that server?
I've been reading through some tutorials on setting up an Ldap server with pam, but one thing that wasn't clarified on any of the tutorials I looked at was the finished result.
I expect that when you boot one of the machines on the network you can logon (to one of the accounts setup in phpldapadmin) from the Ubuntu Logon screen. Or is login limited to the terminal only via the ssh method?
Is my assumption correct, or Have i severely missed the point?
